Dr. Sally MacLean (R. Psych) has worked in the field of medical rehabilitation and related areas for over 25 years. She most recently worked at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital providing psychological treatment, assessment, pain management, and rehabilitative interventions to patients suffering from catastrophic injury, or illness. Medical rehabilitation is a specialized area of psychological practice, focus on achieving optimal management of acute and chronic medical conditions and disabilities.
Dr. MacLean maintains a small on-line practice offering services to persons who have suffered psychological or medical injuries/illness. She is specially authorized to provide Traumatic Psychological Injury (TP) services to first responder and military populations and she maintains a strong specialty in the area of complex and persistent pain management. Her practice consists exclusively of insurance and word of mouth referrals. and her focus is on serving people who are struggling to come to terms with their chronic disability, or who are struggling to move forward with their lives after a catastrophic life changing event.
Professionally, Dr. MacLean sits as a former treasurer, vice president, and current board member for the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta, and as an observer on the Canada-wide Council of Professional Associations of Psychologists (CPAP). She also holds certification in Medico-legal expertise with the Canadian Academy of Psychologists in Disability Assessment (CMLE ON)
